This week I got the DT to 79, and we did quite a bit of city building. One part of the game I am not focusing on (right now) is crafting, this is due to many reasons. The Devs have a lot of fixes to implement as well as the fact that my guild already has a lot of crafters in it. (If you have any questions on crafting, I can get the answers for you)

AOC has a very tight coin system in play, even at level 70+ you will not be flowing with coin. From level 1 to 79 I made less then 20 gold, it is true however that at 70+ the coin does start to come a little easier. Most 70-80 level items sell for 20-30 copper to a merchant. Because the game is now in a state of power leveling, there are tons of loot bags left all over the high level zones, as people are trying to get to the higher levels quickly. (Free loot for all if you want to pick them up)

In the next week I will be working on a review of the DT with all feats reviewed/discussed. I will also be leveling the POM. As most players know your first character to cap is the slowest. (I expect the leveling time with the POM to be less then half of the DT) In the coming week I will also be working on a leveling guide, although from 50-80 the power leveling guide that I already posted will out run anything you can do solo, even if you are one of the over powered classes.

How to Use and Install Warhammer Online Addons

Warhammer Online addons is a great feature that was developed to enhance a player’s usability. With addons and mods they can customize their entire interface just the way they like it. It can even add additional features that EA Mythic did not create. A player can customize their user interface to their own preference.

Warhammer Online addons are often mistaken as hacks and cheats but they are actually not. They are actually fully supported by the publishers. EA Mythic created an API system which allows for players to build addons. A player with some knowledge of programming can easily create their own addon and customize all of their user interface as well as other parts of the game. Even without any knowledge of the API or programming, a player can still easily take advantage of addons already created and use them like they were their own.

To install an addon you’ve downloaded, all you simply need to do is navigate to your Warhammer folder which by default is located at C:program filesElectronic ArtsWarhammer. Once there you may need to create an interface folder followed by an Addons folder inside the interface folder. If these directories are already created then you do not need to worry. The addon files you’ve downloaded are usually in a zip or rar format. If this is the case, you’ll need to download Winzip or Winrar to extract the original files. Once that is done, just copy your addon you’ve downloaded into your addons folder.

Once you start the game your addons will be active. Beware when downloading an addon that requires you to run the file. There is never an addon in .exe format. These are usually viruses and Trojans used to steal your Warhammer Online account and password. Also note that some addons may be out of date due patches released by EA Mythic. Always make sure you have the most up to date version of the addon you are using. Another thing to remember is that some addons may have special slash commands that can be used in the game chat interface. You will need to refer to the manual of your addon for more information.

There are over thousands of addons already created that players can use. Some popular ones are map mods. You can find locations of mobs, items, a loot table, quest locations, NPCs and much more. Auctioneer is also another popular addon which records and analyzes data from the auction house. It keeps track of every item sold in, the price it went for, the average price, the minimum price, the maximum price and much more. There are also many great mods to help RvR and PvE battles.

Damage meters are great to help measure the amount of threat generated on a mob. This helps keeps aggro on the tank. Every player is required to synchronize their meter together in order to determine how much threat is being generated and passed around. Healers and high damage dealers will need to watch this meter to make sure they do not pass the tanks threat towards a mob.

There are also many small Warhammer addons that can be extremely helpful. Some addons may tell you when your morale bar is full and ready to be used or when an ability becomes available after a cool down. Some addons even gives you a signal or notifies you that your health bar is low or your action bar is low so that you can take action to run, heal or whatever you think may be best for your situation.

If you have been playing the game for over 2 weeks and yet still have not installed an addon then you are simply missing out on cool features that will make your life easier. From over thousands of addons and mods to choose from, I’m sure there is at least 5 that will suit you and improve your game play.

With a game like Warhammer Online, their world is huge and forever changing. Patches are released approximately twice a month with new content and changes to the current environment. Without the help of a large community it does become difficult for a wiki to have the most updated information unless they have a large amount of volunteer writers or staffs who contributes to that information as well.

Wikis have their own built in search engine for you to find the information you need but like most things in life, it is never perfect. Broadening your search term or using different spelling variations may help with what you’re looking for. For example, instead of searching for “beginning quests for Chosen” you can instead search for “quests” and see what links become available to you. Wiki engine uses a rather different engine and many people may have trouble finding the information they’re looking for even if it is available. An alternative is using the most popular search engine Google as a medium. You can search the specific site followed by the information you’re looking for. An example would be “site:domain beginning quests for Sorcerer”.

Down to the core, wikis are a great place to find and exchange information. With a great team behind the wiki would be a good start but with a large community helping it can be the best source of information for Warhammer Online. If you find something useful in a wiki then give a little back to the community who gave you that information. Become a “good internet citizen” and share your wealth of knowledge. You will be recognized in the community and will receive great respect and help when needed.

Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure Game Might Just be the Mmorpg for You

This is a new MMORPG game, Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure, and it captures the spirit and uniquness of all of the realm that Howards created in an interesting and amazing way. The Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure game is for the matureplayer. It offers a very imaginative world that also excels with amazing and brilliant exploration. A new to MMOs, the combat system which is a great change of pace to the more traditional auto combat many MMORPG fantasy games are used to. The fights in Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure will have to use several of the number keys on the keyboard to aim or swing in the correct direction. Monsters can successfully shield themselves in many different ways, so you will have to learn to aim for their weak spots. Your avatar can as well place shields around his body, giving Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure a more action based kind of feeling making you feel more reward when you loot the NPCs for their AOC gold. The higher your character becomes in levels the more drawn in you’ll become as new and exciting combos will pop up. It is easy to do several two hit combos in your sleep but as for a four keystroke hit right in a row the game will have your total attention or your death. Doing the combos correctly will ultimatly result in a crushing and killing blow, a gruesome excellence that is quite rewarding.

You will find that the Age of Conan quest guides are very well written and appealing; you start off in single quest mode untill level twenty which also is another difference that sets age of Conan apart. The quest stories available in this game are certain to entertain, with many quests available that are amusing and give you a great insight into hyboria’s back story. Larger parts of the quest are very funny and given out by wacky characters. You might miss out if you like to skip through to just to get into the action

The graphics of this game are those of concentrated beauty, the background sound excel the game into an epic feel of adventure, with music of a very grand scale fantasy. The down side to this game that the fact that it requires a powerful computer in order to run it correctly. There are pixel shader glitch’s and also clipping issues, which makes a visit into the more cities that are highly populated a little bit more of an issue then some cities with lower populations.

Age of Conan has four types of Hyborian currency: tin, copper, silver and gold. One hundred of each currency represents one unit of the next currency. Early in the game you will earn your currency primarily from questing and killing NPCs you probly won’t see too much gold though. Later at around level 40 you will also be able to earn money by crafting and selling your goods which will bring in the gold more swiftly. Designated Traders will be available for you to trade and sell you gold, items and equipment, as well as to send in-game mail to send gold, items and what not, there is also storage for your wares. Additionally, there is a Trade Chat Channel which can be used to try to sell your items for a better price of gold than you would by selling off to a city vendor.

Overall Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure is a great online game for adults. Although the large amount of both blood and gory could be a huge turn off when it comes to parents purchasing for kids and should try it out them self’s before actually handing it off to them. This is a pretty good game that ahs the ability to stand on it’s own when you measure it up with the top MMO’s. The game is quite original, although this game does slightly feel unfinished since you can not exercise your characters complete skills when it comes down to non-combating. There are also a variety of glitches that many players will have the ability to get past but some players might avoid the game entirely because of. Is this an online game that is worth devoting time into? If you own a good and advanced computer that has the required equipment, then you might find game to be among the very best MMORPG’s out there.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Can it Protect Its Gold?

There are numerous reasons too for others to make a buck from MMORPGs like warhammer. The main being that people will buy from you and or trade for what they are selling. If a gamer doesn’t want to tediously go through building up the gold to buy that special item they want they could just buy it from someone for real money. The same goes for War powerleveling, you want that high level character now, and well you could by him from somebody that is willing to part with their leveled up toon, for a sometimes unreasonable price.

This practice has been going on ever since it could be done. For Everquest, another MMORPG, there was so much selling of in-game items for real cash that the BBC did a report that with a exchange rate of game currency to real money that everquest would be the 77th richest country in the world. The developers for EQ made a plea for eBay to stop putting up such trade auctions. This has lead to many specialty sites dedicated to game to real currency exchange. Will Warhammer have the same issue?

Not only with EV is there seen to be a problem between fiction game gold to real money exchanges. In early 2006, Square Enix of final fantasy found that a group of players had found out a way to generate game currency and exchange it for real currency, which, drove up prices for all items across the game, In response, 700 accounts were permanently banned and 300 billion gil (final fantasy’s take one money), was removed from circulation.

In response to more and more of these types of fictional gold for real currency from other developers has been varied but altogether a bit futile, for there are more sellers and buyers then there ever were. The program provides buying in-game items for real money from fellow players for a nominal fee.

With all the in game trades and selling form real to fake money from all the other MMOPG’s out there one has to wonder if Warhammer is prepared for it. What will it do in response to the possibility of selling in game gold and turning it into green cash? Fair for us players? I think not, you spend all your hard time and effort farming WAR gold and they remove it from the game because your friend in need of help also wants some. What good would it be if you were in a guild or have a bunch of friends but yet to can’t share gold with them?

A Look At The Final Fantasy XI Character The Beastmaster

The beastmaster is simply what it literally means, which is a master of beasts. It tames monsters and uses them for its own purpose. Creatures do not remain tamed forever though as the time you get to keep them is random. Beastmasters are not as powerful as warriors, but they are very good for those who like to go solo or always hunt and go alone for they can tame monsters to come to their aid. The beastmaster can use many different active abilities to tame and command its’ pets.

The beastmaster’s job revolves around their ability to tame monsters. A tamed monster becomes the beastmaster’s pet, following the beastmaster around and attacking their foes upon command.

Beastmasters usually tame monsters of equal or lower level. While beastmasters can tame higher-level monsters, it is not advisable to do this as these monsters can return to their hostile and wild state and you could lose control over it at unexpected times.

Beastmasters can command their pets to attack a foe. The pet will remain totally allegiant to the beastmaster until the pet dies or the maximum duration for control expires or the monster breaks the spell.

The beastmaster is an extra job that must be quested before reaching level 30 and at that time it becomes available to your character. As such, you will have a good working knowledge of the final fantasy xi world by the time you are ready to attempt the beastmaster quest.

Switching to the beastmaster job for the first time (just like switching to any other job for the first time) means that you start at level 1 in that job.

One of the main uses of a beastmaster pet is as a tank. Often, monsters attack the first thing that attacks them. This allows the beastmaster to have their pet absorb a large amount of the damage in a fight while simultaneously keeping their party safer.

To become a beastmaster make sure you have the right level required. You can now go to the lower jeuno area and talk to the npc named dietmund, located at the G11 merchants door. Click on the door and the character will come out and would ask you to get him some night flowers. Next go to location F8 of qufim island. Walk down the small passage at the cliff and click on the night flowers. Remember that you can only obtain the flowers at night when they start to glow. You can now go back to dietmund. There will be a cut scene, after this is finished talk to the chocobo house owner brutus in upper jeuno to complete the quest.

After all of this is done you can now be a beastmaster at your mog house.

Can a World of Warcraft Warrior Survive in a Warhammer Online World?

With the recent launch of the much anticipated Warhammer Online (WAR), the burning question in many World of Warcraft (WOW) gamers’ mind is how difficult the transition from playing WOW to WAR is going to be. In this article we will examine some of the fundamental differences and similarities between the worlds of WOW and WAR. Will the transition from one to the other be as seamless as many gamers hope it will be?

Consider the story setting

One of most pronounced differences a WOW gamer will notice when entering the WAR world is the time frame and setting. In WAR, you are landing in the middle of an all out war of destruction and annihilation! The concept of peace is all but wishful thinking in the Warhammer Online world! If looking for trouble and a fight, there is plenty to find in World of Warcraft, however in most cases you need to go looking trouble. In WAR it is in your face, up close and personal! Even the graphic visual surroundings help to portray this difference in the world settings. The bright colors and cute bunny rabbits hopping around the countryside found in many areas of WOW have been replaced by dimly lit landscapes in WAR, showing the scars of devastation and destruction left by unending battles and blood shed.

Consider the plot

The overall plot of Warhammer Online is by most accounts much more sinister and evil than what exists in World of Warcraft. The forces of evil known as “Destruction” are made up of some very twisted and perverse races. Conversely the side of good or “Order” is deeply rooted in religion almost to the point of fanaticism. The line between what is “right” and “pure” verses “unjust” and “evil” appears to be much less defined in WAR than in WOW. In World of Warcraft the choice between playing the side of good or evil is pretty straight forward, whereas with Warhammer Online, things may not be as they first appear. Each side, “Order” or “Destruction” have their share of skeletons in their closet!

Consider playable classes

Although Warhammer Online does offer nearly twice the number of playable classes than World of Warcraft, the basic roles filled are essentially the same. You still have healers, tanks, melee dps and ranged dps. The race you decide to play will determine the classes available. So for example if you are used playing the role of a warrior in WOW, in WAR your options would be in the form of Ironbreaker, Black Orc, Swordmaster or Chosen. Obviously this is a rough comparison as each of the WAR characters has been “tweeked” with special racial abilities as well.

Consider rules of engagement

Rules of engagement or combat is very similar in most respects between WOW and WAR. The main noticeable difference is Warhammer Online combat appears to be slower than in World of Warcraft. This allows the defender more time to react to an attack and prepare an effective defense and possible counter attack back at his opponent. One of the most significant differences between WOW and WAR is in the area of player verses player combat (PVP). The role of PVP is much more important in Warhammer Online. In WOW, PVP is just another interesting option, whereas in WAR, only by doing PVP will you gain a special kind of experience called “reknown” that allows for unique tactics and character improvements not available anywhere else in the game.

Consider questing and leveling.

As in World of Warcraft, quest givers are NPCs marked with a symbol, (green circles in WAR verses yellow exclamation points in WOW), who will give you tasks to complete to help level. Warhammer Online also has several different categories of quest types available ranging from the tradition quest WOW players are used to gain experience, money, and/or booty up to an new type of quest called the “Public Quest” that requires players to band together to accomplish an unique objective based on the WAR storyline. Yet another interesting experience found in the WAR quests, is the Tome of Knowledge, which actually keeps a record of your quests woven into a story-like account.

Consider occupation

World of Warcraft Online players have a wide range of occupations to choose from such as mining, leather working, jewel crafting, alchemy, etc. . Not so in the WAR world. Occupations occupy a much diminished role in Warhammer Online, possibly because you are too busy trying to stay alive! Occupations in WAR are limited to creation crafts of potion-making and talisman-crafting and some minor gathering crafts.

Consider a sense of community

The sense of community or “guilds” plays a much more important role in Warhammer Online than in World of Warcraft. In WAR the traditional reasons for belonging to a guild are to find help with quests, game play advice, raiding groups, money pool, resource exchange, etc. has been greatly enhanced. As WAR players advance, so does their guild, which allows for the attainment of new abilities, guild privileges, and rights by the player.

So, can a World of Warcraft Warrior (or any other WOW class) survive in a Warhammer Online world? Definitely, “yes”! There are however enough differences between the two games to make life interesting and challenging, and there is a new learning curve, (which may or may not be initially steep depending on your WOW gaming background) as with any new gaming experience. To help flatten out the learning curve and get your WAR gaming experience up and running quickly, I do recommend looking into purchasing good Warhammer Online gaming guides for leveling and gold farming.

Will Warhammer Online Gold be Available for Sale?

Many Warhammer Online players in the open beta or the head start program are already impatiently waiting for sellers to carry Warhammer gold. When a game is first released it usually takes an average store about 2 weeks before they are able to supply any type of gold. Even if the store has them by then, it would not be in high abundance for the entire market and the price for the gold itself would be pretty hefty due to the high demand. It is obvious having more gold than another player in the game can yield great benefits, especially when you are in a realm vs. realm situation. Your goal is be able to maximize your gears quick and head out and destroy your enemies.

Warhammer Online is currently the most highly anticipated massively multiplayer role playing game for the last 2 years. Experts expect it to be a great battle against the current king of MMORPGs, World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft currently holds 10 million subscribers world wide. Warhammer Online is expected to have close to half that population. At this point, Warhammer Online is still a long battle away but has a great advantage going their way.

The advantage Warhammer Online has is the long history of a successful MMORPG in the past, Dark Age of Camelot. Dark Age of Camelot has dropped in subscriber base heavily over this year, but we’re almost certain those players will be moving to the new Warhammer game. Another great advantage is that Warhammer Online will have a realm vs realm system that World of Warcraft was unsuccessfully able to create. World of Warcrafts player vs player system could not compare to what Dark Age of Camelot has and what Warhammer will enhance to their previous system.

World of Warcraft gold prices will probably not be able to drop down too much anymore as many of the current Chinese farmers will be moving to a new game to profit off of. You can expect Warhammer Online to have a great market for the Chinese farmers. That will also include an abundance of Warhammer gold that will be available for sale. Mythic has never quite been fully against players selling their currencies, at least not for Dark Age of Camelot plats. We hope Mythic also now known as EA Mythic will be just as lenient towards players that are interested in purchasing and selling gold for Warhammer. Even if they should be against players selling, Chinese farmers will yet continue to provide gold to players as it is difficult to constitute and prevent their actions.

There are many Chinese farmers that uses illegal techniques of obtaining gold but yet there are always some that will follow the game and will only use legal methods of grinding for gold. Beware of who you purchase the gold friend. Often, the lower the price, the riskier it is to make that purchase. Always choose a more prestigious store over a store providing a cheaper price. Use services your friends have used to avoid risking your account getting banned.

Although I haven’t tried it yet, I have every intention of doing some crafting at some point. In fact, after reading through the crafting guide, I might be starting real soon. Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the Goblin Guide. It covers a lot more than other guides, and generally does a better job also.
